Day 92; July 28--Stewart to Vanderhoof

The driver finally decided that yes we would travel on today.  It had been raining off and on for the past three days in Stewart.  So, here we are going down the road into the clouds........
Oh, boy, we hit civilization again.  I see the Golden Arches.  We stopped for hamburger and ice cream.  (Remember Canadians don't drink sweet tea!)  We drove from the mountains and started seeing hay fields, cows, and horses.  Back to the country for the farm kids. I wasn't paying attention, just enjoying the scenery when I saw a second-year black bear cub along side the road.  I wasn't expecting to see anymore for awhile.  The tour guide told us that a bear will kept her cubs until they reach three years old and then she kicks them out on their own and she is up for dating again.  Smart Bears!
When we got to the campground at Vanderhuff, I took this picture of a rainbow from the door of the camper.
This is our site at the Dave's RV Park on the south side of Vanderhoof.  It was well kept and nice big sites.

The backyard of their house was a putt-putt golf course, a big chinese checkers court, and some other games for the kids.
After we got the camper ready, we drove back into town to take pictures of all the 2x2's at this saw mill.  This is just a small amount of them.  There were rows and rows.
Here is the beginning logs.  Looked like toothpicks stacked in neat little piles.  You'd never believe that after I took this picture it started to hail and rain again.

Tomorrow if everything goes well, we should be half way between Prince George and the Washington border.  It should be our last night in Canada.  Sweet Tea, here we come!

I think I might have figured out why some of the comments are not getting to me......when I posted on Abbie's sight, you have to go through the hoops and scow to the bottom and press the orange "Submit Your Comment" button.
