Travelling Trio

 What a day for celebration!  I got a call that my biopsy was precancerous and that my surgery was not going to be as severe.  I turned 62 and will be getting my first social security check in August.  My great husband brought me doughnuts for breakfast and gave me an opal neckless and earring set.  He asked me where I would like to go to eat and I choose "Fiddlesticks" in Hannibal.  Deb and Jerry met us there.  Donna stopped in Vandalia and picked us up.  We had a chauffeur.  We also had a great meal and good laughs.  Deb even gave me chocolate turtles.  I forgot it and left it on the table.  The waitress had to find it and then it disappeared again on the way home.  (Don't bother to look for it!) Deb and Jerry motored to Hannibal in their "good" truck.  Jerry's truck was in the shop after hitting another one of Pike County's deer.  The air conditioning stirred Deb's hair and the wind cooled their body temperature.  They traveled in style a

It must be time to go home when the two old folks go to town and before they get home, the town business is calling the daughter-in-law to ask if we were in town. Somehow we must have backed into this ladies car.  I was on the phone with Aunt Dorothy and Gary was driving.  No bump, no noise, no action!  But she has a dent, we had an eye witness, and our bumper had a little scratch.  Go figure!  Must have been totally spaced out!  The driver wasn't even sleeping!

 Waiting, Waiting, Waiting.......  Here they come!  Dr. Jason and Kit C.J. Carman  There she is world, our newest grand daughter. Oh boy, time to get up and rotated again.

 Grandpa Gary did a few Honey-Do Jobs; but it sure did make him tired.  He had to rest a lot!  Even the Mule Deer were amazed!  One day after this when we girls were returning from town, I made the comment, "Wonder what Grandpa is doing today?"  Little Mary pipes ups, "Probably sleeping on that bag again!"

 We are back on our yearly schedule.  Carman Cousins at Western Kansas for fun and chocolate.  PaPa Bunny hid eggs on the west side for the two older kids..  He hid them at Difficulty 8-9/  This is Chaney and Mary.  GraMa Bunny hid these at Difficulty Level 4-5.  Lots of fun!  Here they are with their bags of eggs.  Wonder who got the most? After the Easter Egg Hunt, the Easter Bunny snook into the camper during the night and left baskets for each of the kids.  Prissy didn't even hear him andshe did'nt even bark.  Oh, the Magic of our special holidays.  Mary dressed up for Easter Church Service. Chaney was playing a game on the phone, Jessie is ready for church, and Jason is searching the web for a cheap boat.

Captured one of the two home runs Calvin made tonight.  He hit the ball to the back fence.

What can I say?  We love retirement!  He refurbished his trailer and blew up his boat!  Ha!  Calvin caught the fish and PaPa kept Calvin's string untangled!

 July 9, 2012 ----   Congratulations to Katie and Kerry.  Hope everyday in your life will be as happy as the day you said "I do!"  Deb's Family----Joel, Jerry, Deb, and Katie  Thanks to Mona Herbers----Our canopy looked just beautiful......  Calvin has a new hero.  He loved Cousin Joel and Braden was following Calvin.  Nothing is better than family!  Complete Wedding Party.....Oh, no, I can't remember the name of Kerry's Son, Katie, Kerry, Jerry, Deb, Candace, and Flower Girl Macy Good DeOrnellis Blood!    Joel and Katie.......  Good looking kids!

 After we all reach "old age", we have time to get together in Branson.  Now, we have controlled diets and have trouble huffing and puffing up the hills and dells of Silver Dollar City.  We still had a good time!  Three good looking men watching the ladies walk by and telling tall tales. This tractor reminded me of my bestest friend in the whole world.....WONDER WHY? Robert and Roberta knew one of the singers at the Presleys' show.  Came from the same part of Texas.

 If you have been following my blog, you know that Gary has been taking pictures of old elevators along our way.  Well, Goodbye Onaga Elevator.  Yes, we know it was ugly; but it has a lot of history.  Chaney ready to cheer for her big brother Calvin.  He is a good little baseball player (like his Daddy).

 Jeannie is just down right fascinated with the story Lloyd is telling her! Mary and Gib and wondering when will end? We sure had a good time and enjoyed the food at the Windmill Restaurant at Seneca, Kansas.

 My friends that our retired get together every-now-and then.  We had lunch at the new restuarant in town and then went to MK's for dessert......boy that woman can cook.  This is a picture of her new basement floor.  It was done by the Koelzer Boys and they do a really good job.  It looks like carpet. This is a picture of her shower in the basement.  She had them to spray the epoxy on the walls for beauty and ease of cleaning.  Deep in thought.  They (Susan, Mary Kay and Carol) are discussing scrapbooking.  No, she didn't send any of this home with us.  Yummy!  It was a wonderful! Strawberry Poke Cake.  She was gracious and shared with us.  She is trying to spoil Gary so he will drive us to our desired destinations.
