Day 78; July 14 - Back to Anchorage

We left Denali this morning after having sausage gravy/biscuits.  We packed up and headed south.  MK and I stayed up last night until 12:30am.  This is the first time I had seen the sun set.  It was full of pinks, oranges, and blues.  For some reason, Miss B was sound asleep and she slept until 8:00am -- now that she is leaving us, she has learned to sleep!

Miss B wanted to see an igloo.  This is the closest thing we could find without driving to the Arctic Circle.  There was even a picture of her painted on the deserted gas pumps.
On the way down, we finally located the real and true Mt. McKinley.  It was worth the drive.  It was covered in snow and the very peak was still hidden in the clouds.
The top two pictures were looking at it from the north side.
 North side view again.
South side view.  Not as pretty, snow was not on this side.  Must be colder on the north side.

Well, tonight is the last night with our friends.  We have laughed, eaten too much food, seen things that we never thought we would be lucky enough to see, and with good friends it made each of these events more special.

Miss B wanted to share a favorite tuna recipe, so she has learned the secret of fried bread and added her tuna  spread.  Everyone has settled in for the evening and we are getting ready to hit the hay.  Driver wants to take all his women to Dennys for breakfast tomorrow morning.  We didn't argue.

Love to all.......
