Day 62; June 28 - Refrigerator Replacement

Our day turned out totally different than we had planned.  Driver wanted to go sight seeing so off we headed into the mountains.
We drove up on top of a mountain, if you look closely above the tree line that is the city of
Anchorage.
Little better view as we were driving down.
Driver was out watching and recording the seaplanes coming and going.  GrMa was sitting in the truck reading.  Love to read!  I'm reading Sense and Sensibility now.  Maybe that should be the names of the driver and boss?  Trying to improve my mind!  Ha!
This lake had seaplanes parked all around the perimeter.  It was interesting.  We met a local girl (maybe there should be a question on which local or loco) at the laundry mat.  She was explaining how the land Alaskans didn't want the capitol of Alaska moved to land.  This way all the politicians had to fly to work in Juneau and if a plane went down---just one less politician.
Just as the driver was taking off from the seaplanes, his phone rang.  It was Tim from the repair shop.  He could not guarantee when his shop could install the refrigerator; but he knew of this other shop that had one in stock and we could check with her.  So, off we went.  The lady was real nice and said they would start on it in the afternoon as soon as the technician had his lunch.  So back to the camper, packed up real fast....and headed over there.  At 5:30pm we pulled out of their drive with a new refrigerator.

After cleaning out the coolers and looking at all that food, I decided we needed a treat and we had dinner at Kentucky Fried Chicken.  We came home and sit.   One project down and one to go on Thursday.
