Day 35; June 1 - Life is Hard; After All It Kills You! (Katherine Hepburn)

This is one of those days where I should have stayed in bed!  I got up early, packed up the inside of the camper and gathered up the laundry so I could do it while Gary took the trailer to the repair shop in Cody to have the brakes fixed.  LuLu Lied! (LuLu is the little voice inside my head that talks to me!)   She told me it was only the wiring and it would not take long.  Ha!  We headed out to Granny's Restaurant to eat one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.  It takes the place of one I had at Denny's in Sedalia, Missouri.  I can remember my Restaurants.

Gary came just as expected as I was folding the clothes.  Now, it starts going down hill.  The repair shop had told him the brakes were probably over greased and they were not receiving connection from the magnet.  They would have to be packed and cleaned.  Not too bad!  We were to go pick up the camper mid-afternoon.  So all three of us went up to the overlook of Hwy 14A/20.  You can see the campground below.  Prissy started acting up, I started acting up and Poor Ole Gary had to put up with both of us.

We sit there, enjoyed the scenery, and Prissy calms down when we are stopped and she can look out the window too.  Pretty soon Gary could sit no longer, had to get out to take movie pictures, stirred up the dog and me.  I was reading a "juicy" book about werewolves.  About the time we all get settled, he decides he needs a glass of sweet tea from McDonalds.  In the mean time, I'm talking with Donna and Deb about plans for putting Daddy into a nursing home.    Stress!  Stress!  Looks like we all three agree and he will be moved from the VA Hospital in Columbia to Vandalia Home on Friday.

After 1:00pm we headed back to the shop to check on the camper.  They were just about done and ready for a test drive.  Test drive proved that the brakes still were not functioning up to pare.  Back into the shop!
These two men were totally stumped.  They took the wheels and brakes off several times and still the breaks were not controlling as they should.  Finally at 5:30pm MT, we headed into the sunset for Montana.

You can tell when I'm really tired and have no "patience" left.  We passed a casino and I had no desire to even stop!  Of course, Gary never put on the brakes either!  We finally made it to Interstate and headed west.  Around 8:30pm we stopped at the Mountain View Campground around Columbus, MT.  The camper was a mess!  While the repair men were checking out the brakes, he must had really taken things for a ride.  My appliances had fallen from the cabinet.  My mouse had been in Prissy's water bowl.  The slow cooker was bent.  The satellite box had come unplugged.  My new backup drive was totally missing.  (I found it this morning when I set down to blog.)  The printer was unplugged.  ............and my Daddy is  sick!

This is the view from the camper door this morning.  Sun is shining.  It is going to be a good day.

When Gary was sitting up the satellite box, he broke the plug.
