Day 36; June 2 - Road to Helena

We left Columbus, MT today and followed swollen streams and rivers all the way up to Helena.  If you have been following the weather, Montana and Wyoming have had record snow falls, late springs, and now that it is getting a little warmer--they are flooding.  We didn't have any trouble.  We stayed on high ground.
Old wooden elevator in Livington, MT.  We filled the truck and yellow can with diesel here.  Diesel is either going down or Montana doesn't have the high taxes.  I believe we paid $3.99 here.
Livington actually had two antiques.  (No they were not us passing through!)
 Elevator 3 - Manhattan MT
Can't travel a day without getting into a storm.  The white clouds that look like smoke is actually dirt blowing.  It blew the steps down from the camper in front of us.  When I tried to point that he was having trouble, he thought I was just being friendly and waved real big.  Next time we met him, he had a big smile and wave.
Getting ready for a downpour.  We stopped and sit in the Three Forks State Park.  Three streams run together to form  the Missouri River.  (Madison, Gallitin, Jefferson)
This park was also the site of the original town of Gallitin MT, some of the original buildings are still trying to stand the storms.
I love this piece of history.  Makes me feel good!

The wind was about to blow Gary's coat and cap off!
The town of Three Fork's Elevator.  (Wonder why they call them elevators.  I haven't seen one in any of them!)

The town of Townends had an old elevator too.  Gary must have grain dust in his brain.
We settled in for the next two nights at the Lincoln Road RV Park.  Nice Park.  It is just off the Interstate; but also off Montana Avenue with all the shops and restaurants.  I get Wal-Mart withdrawal if we stay away from them too long.
