Day 58; June 24 - Chicken to Glenallen

We left Chicken about 8:59am after mailing a few postcards.  We traveled down Taylor Road back to Tok (we didn't remember the road being in that good of shape--anything is good after what we traveled on yesterday!).  We got to Tok, filled up with diesel and washed the grime off the truck.

Irma and Bob:  next time you go into your modern-day post offices you can thank your lucky stars.

Heading down Taylor Road toward Tok.  You can see the mountains to the south.  We didn't see them on the way up.  Needed eyes in the back of our heads.  We only saw one squirrel and two black birds today.  I thought Alaska was suppose to be know for its wildlife?
These are the three large mountains (Mt Drum, Mt Sanford (16,000) and Mt Wrangell)  along the Tok Cut-off.  They were beautiful.  Still no wildlife!

A new sign.  I'm sure Alaska decided it needed to produce these by the million.
View of the mountains from Glenallen.
Yes, this is the driver's foot.  I told him I would check on him in about four hours.  More repairs!  Trying to keep my side of the bed dry.  Also, we have this lovely yellow goop coming out of our refrigerator.  Guess what this means..........

We might be ready for a new camper when we return to the lower states!
