Day 37; June 3 - Here We Go Again!
We got up Friday morning. I fixed the driver Ham, Eggs, and Fried Toast for breakfast. We headed into town for my Wal-Mart fix and to look around to see what we could see. I was also looking for another new purse. I had decided I needed a small suitcase to keep all my "stuff". We found the Wal-Mart with the help of of GPS Bertha. She works great now that we have had her updated with all the new roads and businesses. We were going to look at campers; but the rain has followed us north and decided it was too cold to be getting in and out. So, on the way to the state capital building, the boss asked the driver if we shouldn't have the water disappearing checked out before we headed into Canada. Two blocks ahead of us was a Chevrolet dealer. They got us right in and put the water under pressure to decided that the leak was occurring in the water pump. (6 hour job!) Also, we had an oil leak around something that goes into something (drive shaft). Our local great friend and mechanic had warned Gary that this needed to be watched. So, they would get right on this job, arrange for a rental car and we can pick up our refurbished truck the next day. The driver thought maybe he should go check the lot for an upgrade. He found two that met his criteria. One was just like Barry and Donna's and the other a nice gray. We both agreed that the white truck goes well with all campers. So, no new truck for the boss and driver today.
Above are pictures of our "Pinto" that we picked up from the Helena airport. We have wheels again! So we headed to the Capitol and JC Penney to look for a new suitcase. We found both!
After shopping and stopping at Targets to find a small shelf to set my C-Pat machine and eating popcorn and Diet Cherry Cokes, we headed back to the campground. Settled down, watched a little RFD and a lot of baseball.
Deb and Donna reported that Daddy was slowly settling into his temporary home at Vandalia. Cousin Bill called to check on him.
Gary just came back from the office and said we were staying here one more night. The sun is shining today and there are things he would like to see in this area behind the wheel of his truck. Better get dressed!
