Monday and Tuesday--January 23 and 24, 2012

Monday--Gary said we did nothing.  I might just have to agree.  He went to Chevy dealer and got his spare tire lift fixed and ordered his new tire.  I stayed home and cooked a roast.  We went to Round Rock and mailed some letters.

Tuesday--Spent the morning the Chevy dealers.

Covert Chevrolet; Hutto TX

We left around 8:30am and got there before 9:00am.  We walked around the car lots of the Chevy and Ford.  Went back into the waiting room after 30 minutes.  We waited and I looked at all the magazines (20+).  Pretty soon someone came to tell Gary that the wrong tire had been sent and they had sent their man to Austin to pick up another.  We waited some more and read more magazines and watched TV.  Pretty soon I decided we should walk around some more.  After walking around one building, we saw the truck pull into the repair shop and a tire being unloaded so we went back into the waiting room.  We waited and waited.  Pretty soon close to 12:00noon someone came to tell Gary that they would go into the back and check.  He didn't show back out into the room.  We figured the tire had been forgotten and they started on it after he went out.  Around 12:15pm they finished.  Gary said it was actually 12:18pm--who is counting?

Back home to left over roast and baking pies.  I made a coconut and a banana.  I tried the powdered milk like Miss B suggested.  If the pies taste as good as the pan when I licked it, we are in business.

My hair is dripping wet and Gary got up and put his coat on.  Don't know why I sweat so much anymore?

It has rained here off and on; but so far no storms.

Try not to flatten any more tires. Chances are you won't get the spare down next time either. Designed by a genius with no common sense.
