Friday--Didn't do a whole lot. In the afternoon Gary wanted to go back north and try to pick up another pair of pliers for his tires....ha! We drove around Granger Lake. It was pretty dirty from all the rain that we received the past few days.
We stopped at TSC and he got two new shirts and a ramp for his "hog". I think he wishes he had taken more time and hitched it to the trailer. Men! They just won't listen.
Saturday--Forty years ago today we were headed to Jefferson City Missouri in the old 58 Ford because the new Mustang would not start. The roads were icy and we had a baby boy that was ready to make his entrance into the world. I know he sure filled a void in my life. The gap from my mother's passing had not healed yet; but those little brown eyes sure helped.
We packed up and left Taylor around 10:00am. We drove south to Seguin to find a campground. We had tried several and to our dismay they were filled or booked. Gary suggested that we just start driving south and see what we could find. About 10 miles south on Hwy 123 we passed a horse farm with an RV sign. We pulled in and they had just finished a brand new spot for us. I don't know the name of the park but will let you know later.
Today has been a good day. I have talked to all three of my boys. They are doing well.
This is a picture of the man who drives and sets the camper up at each destination.
