January 2, 2012
I have had requests to start my blog/journal again. Thought maybe the beginning of 2012 would be a good time to begin.....
This is "Little" Mary Sophia opening her present with the encouragement of her big sister Jessie and cousins Calvin and Chaney.
Now the big experts are showing them how to do it correctly.
Chaney with Mary in the background.
Calvin with his new shirt and belt.
We spent New Year Eve's at Donna's new home celebrating Christmas with the Crigler Girls and family. Daddy was pretty good in health and spirit. We had Fried Chicken, Potatoes/Gravy, Corn, Salads, Pies and Rolls. Donna and Barry's new home is beautiful and a home that makes you feel comfortable.! We celebrate by hanging a stocking for each guest and stuffing it with small gifts. We believe in a small celebration where family is the important part of Christmas. If someone would send me pictures that were taken that day. I'd try to post them too.
Yesterday, New Year's Day, we spent with Kevin. He and Gary like auctions so we went to the Green Parrot Auction on the east side of Hannibal. We then went to Deb and Jerry's and had coffee and pie. Kent and Laura invited us for smoked turkey dinner. Kevin asked on the way home where we could bum a meal from the next day.
Today we went to Moberly. I got my nails done and then we got an "unexpected" (Ha--after a big hint!) invite for ham sandwiches and pie for lunch at Donna's. Gary fixed a couple of things for her and we returned back to our cool camper. Hopefully tomorrow we can get our dealer moving on ordering a new furnace.... Kent, Laura, and Adam came for pizza and salad. We watched a little TV and have settled in for the night of watching the heaters and furnace.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

This is lucky GrMa Sandy getting her hair styled by the want-to-be stylist. Note the crown and bib. |
