Day 16 - Friday, May 13, 2011 - Mount Rushmore

We left for this little trip around noon.  The sun was shining and the views were great.  It got up around 60 degrees.
On the way up the mountain there were acres and acres of cleared forest with stacks of debris.  Josh, the forest ranger, can you tell us what they plan on doing with these little tee-pees of waste?   We did pass a sign indicating "Men at Work".  We found them laying on the ground resting; but they had a machine that looked like a shredder:?  Maybe they are making pine mulch?

This is Gary viewing the faces of four of our presidents across the valley.

We ended the day by having a snack (Kids Meals and Ice Cream at DQ).
Drove through Custer Park more.
Came home and a nice,  hot, cooker of chili had been prepared by our housekeeper/cook.
Sure glad we brought her with us!
