Old Tucson and Federal Park

Todays trip was to visit Old Tucson and the Saguaro Federal Park.
We are headed to Old Tuscon through downtown Tucson.  This building was built like the building in Monroe City MO where it was a triangle.  You don't see many of them and was surprised to see one here.

We were returning a charger to Radio Shack that is being bought by Sprint.  We came upon the east park before getting there.  We drove the 10 mile winding road on the mountain side.  It was a nice drive and we saw several cactus.  A roadrunner also passed us while waiting in the drive to present our passport.  Too fast for GraMa to get a picture.  We have not seen any wild life at all.  Off course we are home and safe before dark.

Next we went to Old Tucson.  I was disappointed because it was not the actual old town, but a tourist trap.

This is the scene coming down from the mountain.  A great view of Tucson.  The day was overcast and picture taking was dim.

We went to see the Manning House.  A mansion built by a past Manor of Tuscon.  Quite a home.

The Old Pueblo Street Car barn.  There are tracks throughout downtown that vehicles drive over.
We did not see any street cars running and I'm thinking a read that they had been discontinued.

The old hippie in me was impressed by the art work on this building.

Having a great time in Arizona.  Weather is great.  It has been windy the past week.  Everyone said it was; but we are just now experiencing it.  Chilly at night 50s.
