San Diego Day 2

Last night we had Greek Cuisine.  I enjoyed the new experience and my meal was very good.

Patty and Bill
This is the Menu.  Gary had the Gyros Plate and I had the Moussaka.  It was similar to lasagna and made with a m ground mixture of lamb and beef.

Up the next morning to eat again at the Broken Yolk.  I had a Mexican Burrito and Gary got experimental and had ham and eggs....

We drove down by the ocean and even the pigeons were pretty.

Nice neighborhoods where the Mitt Romney family have a house.

The ocean is chilly; but the locals put on their wet suits and hit the waves.

A picture of the Happy Campers.

Patty and Bill
(We haven't drove them crazy yet!)
The waves are rushing in this morning.

We are at the entry to the racetrack.

Now we are in the area that a few old movie stars lived.  Jimmy Durante, Lucy and Desi Arnes, and I don't remember...
Del Mar Race Track Entry

Bill told us some more work stories.  He got to secure Queen Elizabeth's yatch when they visited the USA.  He met President Regan.  He was his favorite.

Down to San Diego Port of Entry.

Mormon Tabernacle Towers

I actually got out and walked around this Military Honory Park.  The city is having trouble with atheist trying to take it down.  One more instance of the rights of a few trying to override the rights of the majority.  Why can't they just go to their own memory parks and leave our alone.

Back to the harbor.

The Midway

You've probably see this statue in a few movies.

Padres Baseball Stadium, Homeless Resting

Gaslamp District

Little Italy
This is an old motel that Bill and his family lived in when returning from Missouri.  They lived here until their new home was built.

Fiesta Island.  A public park on a man-made island from the dregs from when they cleaned the bay.

One populated area.  Parking is a premium asset.  Garages are few.  Beautiful place to see.
