January 27 2014 -- Down to Flamingo Florida
Up bright and early! (9:00am EST) We planned on having a day trip. First stop, Krispy Kreme doughnuts fresh off the rack. Yummy!
On the way to the National Everglade Park, we passed field workers busy picking fresh produce. When we returned in the afternoon, they were done.
Now, we have been as far south as you can get on the main land of Florida.
After we got home, we went to WalMart and got the groceries for another week. Then drove 10 miles to the north east to a Target with a Miami address. One day soon, Miami will be on our day trip plans.

The bay was calm. Weather was on the verge of hot for me, perfect for Gary. I like jacket weather and he must like it warmer. It was comfortable in the shade with a breeze.
We ate lunch at the Buttonwood Cafe. We had a pizza and ice tea. The hamburgers passing us by looked pretty good. We had some strange brown meat on the pizza. Looked like a spoiled hot dog or sausage. Probably alligator.
We then went into the Visitor's Center. There was a eagle nest above the center. As we were leaving you could see the white head peak above the nest. (In the center of the picture of the Visitor's Center is the tower with the eagle nest.)
