December 30 2014 - Ehrenburg AZ Here We Come

Tuesday morning we headed west to Ehrenburg AZ.  We took I-10.

We were excited to see Quartzsite AZ because we have read in travel magazines that this is were several Snowbirds come and pay a small fee to dry camp on federal land.  There were several campers parked on this land.  The area was pretty rustic and there seemed to be several homeless and low income people hanging around.  We only stopped for a little bit at McDonalds to share a salad.

Ehrenburg is pretty rustic too.  I was pretty concerned when we reached the area but our campground, River Breeze RV Resort is nice.  It is located on the Colorado River.

This is a picture heading down to the river.  The park has four rows of campers.  Two in the center are pull through sites.

I'm really starting to like the park model homes.  Some have decks and screened in porches.  Two are for sale.  Still leaning on settling in the Branson area.

Grandpa is looking at the river.  When we first got there, the river was high and rushing.  Water sources had released a lot of water from up north to help clean out the debris.  One of the male campers that Gary visited with told him that he had caught several large cat fish.  I expect Gary will be too busy to go fishing.

We are four miles from Blythe CA.  We just pull out of the park and head west.  There is a customs located as soon as you cross the bridge.  No WalMart.  K-Mart and Albertsons.  We did find a local market that had good produce.
