December 2 2014 - Down to Casa Grande
We started the day off at Krispy Kreme for doughnuts and a caramel latte. We didn't take a trip last week because we were busy cooking and eating and celebrating everything we had to be thankful.
This week we are switching trip day with movie day because today I have to go back to the foot doctor. If you have to go to one, this one is easy on the eyes. As a matter of fact the one in Topeka was too. What is with the good looking guys going into feet? Ugh?
We took I-10 down to Casa Grande. We passed cotton being harvested. After it had been harvested there was a lot left on the ground. It looked like it had snowed. I bet back in Scarlett's day, they would have been no cotton to see.
I tried really hard to get a picture of their water tower. Good idea and and the base should be earthquake safe.
As you know I love old buildings and their preservation. Look at this church made out of rocks and stones. Gorgeous.
We stopped for a glass of tea. McDonalds you let me down, It was the worse tea I have ever tasted. Out it went.
We feel safe. The Border Patrol is out. Isn't it sad the shape our country has gotten into? Man and their greed.
Nope! The driver got out. They were twice as high as we are paying now. We don't golf, swim, or party so why pay the extra money?
This cotton field has a lot of waste.
This one needs to be cut.
I took this picture for Jerry Doughtery. Sorry Jerry Gary informed me your name was Cooley?
In the distance this blimp looked like a cow hanging out of a balloon. Eye sight is going too.
You know Christmas is around the corner. Gary is already planning his meal and last night he requested peanut brittle.
Love to all and happy trails.
