March 5 2014 -- Monroe LA and Tyler TX

A little behind.  Somehow I scratched my eye and have been babying it.  Blurry vision and PAIN!

We agreed that the campground at Ameristar had the best site.  We were on the end and looked out into the brush that had a train track in the valley.  Good to be old and deaf, doesn't bother us!

We had to make a travel plan based on weather forecast again.  This is the first Sunday we have traveled.  Usually we take Saturday and Sunday off and give the younger generation the roads.  But, we took out across the Mississippi River and headed into Louisiana.  Another decision, did I want to see New Orleans or go to West Monroe.  New Orleans was hosting Mardi Gras, so I choose the Dynasty crew.

Welcome to Louisiana!

We parked at the Pavillion RV Park along HWY 20.  We headed to town to find some friends.

Willie has a Diner.  We had their Chicken Fried Steak Dinner.  It was too spicy for Gary, but I always need spiced up a bit, so it was fine with me.

On a past show when Willie and Jase were having a hamburger cook off, they were in this market buying their hamburger.  The market is real and was just the street from the campground.

This is the office at the RV park.

This is poor, poor, cold Gary getting us something to drink.

Welcome to Texas.  First snow we have seen all winter.  Believe me, we weren't impressed.  Limbs were broken, truck has been hit with ice from other vehichles,  Just not pretty.

This wagon is in front of our camper at the Five Star RV Park, Tyler, Texas.

YOOHOO!  One more state added to my Bucket List Map.

While I was at the doctors office in Monroe, two ladies were talking and one stated that Jase was going to start filming his own show.  Wonder if she was talking about Jase Robertson?
