Mary is her biggest fan.  She is always excited and cheers for her Jessie.

Before  getting ready to go to church Sunday morning, Jason got excited and started moving his left-over dirt from the garage construction.  Jay had been to the Three I convention in Garden City and stopped by with his "big" PLAY TOYS!








This is a picture of Jessie and her parents on her special day of receiving her first communion.
The Priest of the church did a wonderful job of explaining the symbolism of this action, it was a beautiful service.

After church we shared a brunch in honor of these special girls and headed home to eat a quick lunch before going to her second performance of dance.  Can you believe it? I choose a nap.  Above is the "Star" of the show.  When Grandma Mona asked where Jessie was, I was honest and said "She is the one doing the best job".  She is really growing up.

Monday, May 9, we got up and took Jessie to school.  She was allowed to sleep in for a little bit and rest.  We then loaded the camper for "take-off" and headed north to Alaska.  We went to Goodland and filled with gas.  Can you believe diesel had gone down to $3.88.
We took Interstate 70 to Burlington, Colorado, and turned north on Hwy 385.



Holyoke, Colorado City Park

We stopped for lunch break in the city park at Holyoke, Colorado.
In Nebraska, we took Hwy 27 to Oshkosh, turned west on Hwy 26 along the river and ended up in Alliance, Nebraska.  A cold front moved through and guess what?  The high winds hit us again.  One thing about Gary and I being overweight, we can hold the camper down.

I noticed that the last post was a Merry Christmas post.  Wellllllllll..... Happy New Year! Yesterday, December 30, we headed to Florida.  One more sticker added to the camper map.  Yippee! I held the camera for five miles with the intention of not missing the change of state sign.  I had it aimed at the side of the road and was viewing every sign along the way......about the time I pushed the button for this picture, the Driver (think next year we will promote him to Travel Planner--you know it is one of those things that employers do to delay a raise in pay) hit a BUMP! The next picture is on the way to our new campground.  It is called Whispering Pines in Silver Springs, Florida.   Gary booked this campground using our Passport America.  We get full hookup sites for $14 per night.  He has done a really good job picking out the sites.  Don't you agree he needs a new title.  Travel Planner he will be!  Diesel is a little high $3.82 to $4.07. Day 105; August 10 -- Woman's Work?

Today the driver got up and took the truck for its 9:00am appointment.  They flushed and cleaned and changed the oil and then claimed they could not find any problems.  They suggested that we drive it and see if the cleaning and collapsed air filter correct the problem. I did the laundry, changed the sheets on the bed, cleaned out a couple of drawers, and tried to straighten the closet.  It seems to have more "stuff" than it did when we started? Is it a sign that we are ready to head home?  We get excited when we see signs with our family member's name on it? This is the Green Acres RV Park in Redding, CA.  It is what I was expecting California to be like.  It is a "picky" park that is manicured daily with two gentlemen that remind me of Uncle Ray.  (Maybe that it how I imagine California?) Day 19; Badlands and Wall, South Dakota

This day was probably one of my best for this trip.  I had never been to the Badlands.  The weather was perfect.  Miss Priss was not.  Gary thought she should go along.  I decided I was going to get two shock collars.  One for her when she yeps, and one for Gary when he sleeps while driving. The Badlands was interesting. They had buffalo grazing and a lot of native grass fields.  We drove on dirt roads for 30 miles to cross this area.  The dirt in places was a white color.  I asked Gary what this was (I thought it might be salty) and he explained something about it did not or it did have a special chemical makeup that was above my head and memory. Our next stop was Wall, South Dakota, to visit the famous Wall Drug Store.
