What can I say?  We love retirement!  He refurbished his trailer and blew up his boat!  Ha!

 Calvin caught the fish and PaPa kept Calvin's string untangled!

November 26, 2013 - Canton MS Again and Again

On the way to do laundry, I decided to take a picture of the shower house/laundry room.  If you look closely, the laundry pair is in the screened area between the restrooms. Holmes County State Park Mississippi Site #2 for the Travelers Court House Square in Canton MS As we were trying to find a seal for my pressure cooker at the Presto Factory in Canton, we passed this Court House.  This town was getting ready to have a Victorian Christmas Celebration.  There was a merry-go-round for the young and the young-at-heart. Little Red School House (Mississippi) We took the exit to visit this school house.  It is the birth place of the Eastern Star.  It has housed soldiers, It is full of history. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  Going to make pumpkin and pecan pies tomorrow.  Finished wrapping gifts today.  Now when we get to Vicksburg, we will find a UPS office and help Santa get a few packages on the way. ...

Days 93 and 94; July 29 & 30 -- Canada to USA

Whee.....what a long three days.....we put a lot of miles on the vehicles and our bodies.  When I last blogged we were at Dave's RV Park in Vanderhoof, BC.  Gary said that this was one of the best kept campgrounds that we had visited.  The bathrooms were spotless and the grounds and flowers matched.  We aimed to go around 200 miles and stop.....somehow that didn't fall into place.  We stopped for lunch at a rest area.  I took this pictures overlooking the valley below from the camper door.  You can see the screen door marks on the picture.  All along this road, we passed original log houses and out buildings.  It made you feel like you were travelling on the very path that the pioneers had taken.  We finally found a campground in the canyon.  Gary got out to take his movie pictures and asked me where we were and what was the name of the campground.  Neither of us knew.  We did have a good dinner. ...

Winter in Arizona

We spent a few days with our friends Bob and Roberta.  Something is always going on Cedar Hill.  Everything but Verizon phone service. Now I need to figure out how to get pictures from my phone to the iPad. This is our camper at High Chaparral, Casa Grande AZ.  Took these after going to get groceries. Horse in front of office.  Statue! Nice flat ground in the desert.  Humidity at 8%.  Oil my nose and face daily. Yesterday I mailed packages.  Delivery date is Tuesday. Sunsets are really beautiful. Few days back entering Arizona. We stayed in New Mexico one night on the way to Arizona. Gramps taking care of electrical cords. Scene from the New Mexico campground.
